Excursions

The area offers countless tours on foot, by bike or boat to choose between.
The surrounding countryside of the states of Mark Brandenburg and Mecklenburg have a long history. Well known are the towns of Rheinsberg, famous for its castle as well as cultural events, and Neuruppin, a beautifully renovated place; the German romantic novelist Theodor Fontane lived there.

History is also told by many old monasteries all along the “German Street of Avenues”. The museum of the Thirty Years’ War in Wittstock may be another attractive destination. Nearby are the two former Concentration Camps of Ravensbrück and Sachsenhausen as a reminder of the darker time of German history.

Come along and see lakes, forests and wildlife, experience pure and untouched nature!
